"My family's ranch in the Nebraska Sandhills, the place where I was a boy, is in harm's way. That's a big reason I want Obama to reject the KXL.

I could wait to fuss until the fresh water wells are pumping oily backwash. I could wait to speak up until my family, their neighbors, the animals and grassy hills don't have a drop of clean water to share. I could wait for more carbon to be harvested from the tar sands and pumped through pipes and factories and machines into the sky, turning prairie into desert, water nowhere to be found...
